Hi, thanks for dropping by!

Over the past few years, I’ve visited hundreds of ice cream shops around the world and have some opinions about what makes a good ice cream experience. Folks have suggested that I share these achievements, giving birth to The Frozen Wanderer. Here, you will hear about the best and worst ice cream that I enjoy (or not) in search of the perfect ice cream experience.

My advice to you is not to inquire why or whither, but just enjoy your ice cream while it's on your plate. - Thorten Wilder

Old ice cream shop

Quality – My general overall assessment of the ice cream quality and taste based on the 4 T’s; texture (mouthfeel), taste (flavor), temperature (melt) and tempo (ingredients and mostly the love that goes into every scoop).

Ambiance – The design, comfort and general ambiance of the store.

Worth the Trip ® – Given everything above, is it Worth the Trip® (WTT) to visit this ice cream shop.

Staff and Policies – Friendliness and helpfulness of staff. The love that’s put into every scoop. Also looking at restrictive policies that may curtail enjoyment (one taste per customer, one flavor per scoop, etc.).

Neighborhood Setting – Good location to enjoy your ice cream.
